Mission Statement

The mission of Modesto Covenant Church is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

The Covenant Church

The Covenant Church adheres to the affirmations of the Protestant Reformation, regarding the Old and New Testament as the Word of God and the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine and conduct. The Covenant affirms as central to its life and thought six evangelical emphases:

The centrality of the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16)

A dependence on the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:25)

The necessity of new birth (John 3:3, 14:6)

The whole mission of the church (Matthew 28:18-20; 22:37-39)

The reality of freedom in Christ (John 8:31-32; Galatians 5:1)

The church as a fellowship of believers (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)
